Road to Recovery Day 1 at Home!

Hello! This will be a short update. I am finally back home! Many of you know I went in on October 28th for a routine procedure (Endoscopy and Colonoscopy). During the procedures the doctor accidentally perforated my intestines. As a result I was rushed in for emergency surgery the next day. So, I have had a long extended, almost 2 week stay at Baylor Hospital. Finally, I’m home to finish my recovery. Praise God!

Well, today is not getting off to a good start. I’ve been having some serious coughing episodes. I think I may have pulled something in the process. I have left messages with my physician and the surgeon to see what they want to do. I may end up having to go back to the ER before the day is over if this pain doesn’t subside. I was doing so good on yesterday. I’m really sadden that I am having this set back. I was able to walk the hospital yesterday. Today I can barely stand up straight due to this pain.

Continue to keep me in your prayers! You all have been the best support system throughout this journey. Please take a moment to sign my “Guestbook”! This is very important to me. I often go back and read your messages to encourage me, even after I’m well! Yes, you are more than welcome to leave more than one message.
